Marina and Andreas are a couple both in life and on stage. As they prepare for a period play, the distance between them begins to surface. The film moves between reality and a dreamlike dimension, leading to a moment where Marina dreams of the rehearsal—a historical dinner that reflects both their artistic world and the emotional space that has grown between them.
The scenographic approach follows this emotional arc, shifting between minimal everyday spaces and a more elaborate dream sequence. The real-world environments are shaped through restrained compositions and cooler tones, conveying emptiness, routine, and the gradual breakdown between the characters. In contrast, the dreamlike rehearsal introduces richer textures, theatrical elements, and warmer color variations, allowing the space to reflect an inner world that is both idealized and unstable. Across these contrasting settings, the visual language maintains a continuous thread through light, palette, and spatial rhythm, supporting the film’s movement between intimacy, disorientation, and emotional distance.
