Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie follows the lives of a family of three—Amanda, a domineering mother, and her two adult children, Tom and Laura—as they grapple with their inability to fit into a world that is changing around them. Set in St. Louis during the 1930s, the play explores themes of memory, fragility, and the tension between reality and illusion, as each character retreats into their own version of escape to cope with disappointment and lost dreams.
